چکیده
The central (`bulge') region of the Milky Way is teeming with a significant fraction mildly metal-deficient stars atmospheres that are strongly enriched in cyanogen ($^{12}$C$^{14}$N). Some these objects, which also known as nitrogen-enhanced stars, hypothesised to be relics ancient assembly history Way. Although chemical similarity unique patterns observed globular clusters has been observed, direct connection between field and not yet proven. In this work, we report on high-resolution, near-infrared spectroscopic observations bulge cluster NGC 6723, serendipitous discovery star, 2M18594405$-$3651518, located outside (near tidal radius) but moving similar orbit, providing first clear piece evidence star was very likely once member recently ejected. Its nitrogen abundance ratio ([N/Fe]$\gtrsim + 0.94$) well above typical Galactic field-star levels, it exhibits noticeable enrichment heavy $s$-process elements (Ce, Nd, Yb), along moderate carbon enrichment; all characteristics examples clusters. This result suggests some originated from disruption

Fluorine Abundances in the Milky Way Bulge
Fluorine (F) abundances are derived in a sample of 6 bulge red giants in Baade’s Window. These giants span a factor of 10 in metallicity and this is the first study to define the behavior of F with metallicity in the bulge. The bulge results show an increase in F/O with increasing oxygen. This trend overlaps what is found in the disk at comparable metallicities, with the most oxygen-rich bulge ...
متن کاملThe Controversial Star-Formation History and Helium Enrichment of the Milky Way Bulge
The stellar population of the Milky Way bulge is thoroughly studied, with a plethora of measurements from virtually the full suite of instruments available to astronomers. It is thus perhaps surprising that alongside well-established results lies some substantial uncertainty in its star-formation history. Cosmological models predict the bulge to host the Galaxy’s oldest stars for [Fe/H] −1, and...
متن کاملCosmic Star Formation from the Milky Way and its Satellites
We use observations and evolutionary models of local objects to interpret a recent determination of the star-formation history of the universe. By fitting the global star-formation rate, the model predicts the ratio of spheroid to disk mass of ∼1, an intergalactic medium (IGM) whose mass is ∼2.3 times the mass in stars, and whose metallicity is ∼0.1 Z⊙.
متن کاملThe Disc Origin of the Milky Way Bulge
The Galactic bulge, that is the prominent out-of-plane over-density present in the inner few kiloparsecs of the Galaxy, is a complex structure, as the morphology, kinematics, chemistry, and ages of its stars indicate. To understand the nature of its main components—those at [Fe/H] −1 dex—it is necessary to make an inventory of the stellar populations of the Galactic disc(s), and of their border...
متن کاملMass Distribution and Bulge Formation in the Milky Way Galaxy
In its first part, this paper summarizes recent work on the mass and shape of the Galactic dark halo. The second part presents a review of the large-scale structure of the Milky Way, and of the evidence that the inner Galaxy is dominated by baryonic matter. This is briefly compared with the predictions of ΛCDM and MOND. Finally, a summary is given of bulge formation from clumpy, gas-rich disks,...
